Harding's Down East Hillfort

Trail takes you along a new wildlife-rich salt marsh, past two bird hides and plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting - kingfishers, otters and wading birds. Dogs on leads due to livestock on trail.

Walk to the highest point on Gower, take in the views and meander through ancient landscapes before descending onto a three-mile-long sandy beach. Challenging walk with steep paths, uneven terrain and steep steps to the finish.

This varied 10km trail run follows the Wales Coast Path alongside Rhosili Down and back over the golden, three-mile stretch of the beach, with the second half looping out towards the dramatic headland at Worms Head. Sand & steep steps present.

Views across Rhosili Bay and out to Worm’s Head. Return through the Vile, the remnants of an ancient landscape & can see the Helvetia wreck when the tide is low. Listen out for yellowhammers & cough. Potential livestock. Uneven terrain & gentle gradients
